The Peabody

We spent this Christmas with my husband family. It has been harder for us to get the whole family together in the last few years since we're all in different states. This year we rented a house in Florida and ALL got together.....all 7 adults and 9 kids. We had a big group but it was good to do. This was the first time we had seen our youngest niece who is 16 months old already. It was also the first time that any of the other 7 kids had met Alex and Zachary. We decided to drive to Florida since it would be cheaper that flying our whole family, plus we'd already have a big car with our carseats and plenty of room for luggage and gifts. The night before our house was ready we spent in Orlando at the Peabody hotel along with my in-laws. In the mornings they have a tradition of bringing ducks from wherever they go to sleep, down the elevator, and to a fountain in the lobby where they stay all day. People line up to watch as the ducks get off the elevator and waddle down a red carpet that was rolled out just for them and take their place in the fountain. In the evening they march back up again. The boys got a kick out of it.

The hotel was beautiful and had a huge tree. We tried to take a nice picture on Christmas Day but had one grumpy boy. One guess who it was.
